How did you get into the entertainment business?

"I was heavily involved in theatrical and concert production lighting all through high school. I carried that on through a few semesters of college and then decided I could learn more on the job than in the classroom , and departed the scholarly realm ( they insisted you learn all this other “stuff”) in favor of the real world when I was all of 19 years old."

What’s your favorite thing about the entertainment business and LightParts?

"Working a live show provides an intense rush of adrenalin coupled with a sense of professional responsibility, because rule #1 is “ The Show Must go On “. At LightParts, we keep the show going!"

What do you like to do when not at work?

"In my spare time I enjoy listening to music, building, fixing and inventing things. I also enjoy pondering both particle and astro physics."

How did you get into the entertainment business?

"I started playing guitar at age 6 and gigs in bands at age 12. My Dad was a telephone man that taught me about basic electronics and how to solder. I did OK playing guitar but didn’t make enough money, so I needed a day job. Richard Belliveau hired me at age 18 as a tech at Blackstone Audio Visual, which later became High End Systems."

What’s your favorite thing about the entertainment business and LightParts?

"I enjoy the people in the entertainment business most of all – I’m amongst “my people”. I especially enjoy the people I work with at LightParts. They are LightParts, not the parts we sell or the gear we repair."

What do you like to do when not at work?

"I like playing music and still play gigs. I also like building very esoteric tube recording equipment, being out on Lake Travis, and most of all spending time with my family."

How did you get into the entertainment business?

"Sheer luck! I decided to sign up with a temp agency and make some extra money while my daughter was out of town for the Summer. I was offered a temp job at High End which turned into an offer for a full time permanent position."

What’s your favorite thing about the entertainment business and LightParts?

"The people. I have had the pleasure of meeting wonderful and interesting people. Some I have just met and some I have been lucky enough to know for 15+ years. "

What do you like to do when not at work?

"Spending time with family, reading, listening to music, and catching up on my favorite shows."

How did you get into the entertainment business?

"The Stars Aligned: I was approached by a business owner of a stage lighting rental/production company who asked me to join them supporting their front office/rental support for customers. I immediately fell in love with the industry!"

What’s your favorite thing about the entertainment business and LightParts?

"The community of people that are involved in production and the endless opportunities of learning."

What do you like to do when not at work?

"Spend time with the family, hikes, photography and Netflix binge sessions."

How did you get into the entertainment business?

"I was working in the cabinet shop, and noticed most of the guys that had been doing it for years were missing fingers or parts of fingers. So I decided to go back to school. After Graduating from ITT, I cut my hair and started interviewing to get a real job. During one of my interviews, I walked through a room with Pantera blasting and flashing lights. Guess where I ended up working? High End Systems, in the same room with Pantera blasting and Studio Colors testing."

What’s your favorite thing about the entertainment business and LightParts?

"Where else do you get to go work, have a light show, occasionally have stuff blow up, and work with a bunch of cool people?"

What do you like to do when not at work?

"Woodworking, stained glass, RPGs, and avoiding being outside in triple digit temperatures."

How did you get into the entertainment business?

"My father is Don Pugh so I guess I was born into it."

"Its part of Showbiz!"

What do you like to do when not at work?

"Video games and Star Trek, what can I say I’m a nerd."

How did you get into the entertainment business?

"I have been working on the technical side of performances since middle school. In high school I took more of a leading role designing the lighting and sound for several productions. I attended CalArts in Santa Clarita, CA and graduated with a degree in Design & Production in 2020. During the pandemic I worked in IT and AV systems integration. In 2022 I came to LightParts to pick up a personal order and asked if they were looking for new employees. Within a few weeks I had begun working at LightParts."

What’s your favorite thing about the entertainment business and LightParts?

"My favorite thing about the entertainment industry is the dedication of teams across artistic disciplines working together to create a cohesive experience for the audience. My favorite thing about LightParts is its dedication to keeping customers’ businesses and projects running more economically while extending the life of their equipment investments and reducing the lighting industry’s contribution to global waste and advocating for right to repair within the entertainment lighting industry."
